Automotive Purchase Specialist China (m/f)

We would like to fill this full-time position as soon as possible. The responsibility of this function is to support the procurement and sourcing processes of the business area companies. Your tasks include amongst other things:

Your tasks:

  • Identification of potential suppliers located in Asia (focus China).
  • Accomplishment of sourcing analyses.
  • On-site visits for evaluating and auditing suppliers.
  • Support of sourcing projects in consultation with the Business Area companies.
  • Team member in sourcing projects (local/global).
  • Role of Supplier Technical Assistant (STA) for Business Area companies.
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for the management of the Business Area Components Technology.

Your profile:

You graduated in the field of engineering (BA/MA). Ideally your degree course included a study abroad semester in an English or German speaking country. You gained practical experiences in a manufacturing company or comparable and demonstrated your skills in projects. Your profile should meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in the field of procurement in the automotive industry required
    (e.g. OEMs, tier-1 supplier).
  • Profound knowledge in product technology, manufacturing processes, logistics and quality.
  • Confident application of procurement tools and methods as well as audits
    (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.1).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Solution and result orientated working methods.
  • Distinct quality consciousness and negotiating skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Business fluent Chinese and English language skills essential; German language skills of advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
